Meet the Scouts

DYLAN is 7 years old and thanks to his late October birthday he is in the first second grade. He is a smart kid that loves to read and tell jokes. Like most kids these days, he loves playing video games and just about anything that is electronic; and I can say he knows my phone better than I do. He enjoys playing with Legos, watching movies with his dad, and making a mess with water. Actually; he loves water, period. For Dylan, summer and pool mean exactly the same thing. Dylan dislikes vegetables and most fruit, but his mama still feeds them to him. Dylan is a Tiger Wolf Cub Scout who has enjoyed every bit of it so far. Dylan has been a true blessing and he makes us proud!

KAYLEE is 8 9 years old and due to her early June birthday she is in the third fourth grade. Kaylee is smart, creative, talkative, and very strong willed. She is a Girl Scout and proud of it. Kaylee loves making just about anything with her hands and her creations often have me saying WOW! Kaylee loves to read and write. Some of her favorite books are mysteries and arts and crafts. She writes made-up stories and always makes them look pretty in cursive writing. Our little energetic girl has always made the effort to learn Spanish and she does it very well. I enjoy listening to her speak to her grandmother as she literally translate her thoughts from English to Spanish. I smile when her words make no sense in Spanish, but I know exactly what she is trying to say. Keep up the good work Kaylee!

ANGEL is well, our angel. He is supportive, loving, playful, and simply said the best thing that has ever happened to our family. He is an amazing husband and a father word won't do it justice. He works hard and enjoys spending time with us all. He helps Kaylee study her math and teaches Dylan all his technology tricks. Angel enjoys wood working and can fix just about anything that would need fixing around the house. Angel has been truly God sent.

BRUNO is our two year old four legged fur baby. He is a fun, gentle brindle boxer that enjoys his daily meals of raw chicken. He loves to "talk" and chase Dylan around the house. Bruno is for sure another one of our kids.

Now me (GRETTEL)! I hate writing about me, and I hate having my picture taken. But I still will tell you about me a bit. Actually, if you read Kaylee's profile you are basically reading about me, except I am just a bit older than her. Oh, and my creations don't call out WOW like hers. I think Kaylee is much more strong willed than I am, but Angel just smiles when I mention it. I wonder what he is trying say? I enjoy reading, baking cakes, and arts and craft.  I currently work full time but have also had the privilege to stay at home with my kids the first 4 years of their existence. Having experience both worlds, I have come to the conclusion that I enjoy being at home much more than being at work. My goals are to stay at home with my kids again some day; cook more often; volunteer at school, church, and wherever needed; have a vegetable and fruit garden; take more and better photographs of my family; and enjoy family reunions.

Our FAMILY is a follower of Christ. We have our struggles and disagreements but with God's help, a solution always arises. Our family is made up of Dominican and Cuban cultures, and we are fortunate of such diversity. Angel and I have remodeled nearly every house we have lived in, and for no particular reason we have moved around to different places within the United States. For now we are put in Texas. As for the future, we will see where the wind takes us.
